Itinerary
05:30 a.m. | Hotel Pick-Up in Cusco
Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin your adventure.
We will travel approximately 3.5 hours by private transportation through the beautiful southern valley of Cusco.
During the journey, enjoy spectacular views of:
- Traditional Andean communities.
- Agricultural terraces (“andenes”).
- Canyons and valleys.
- Snow-capped mountains.
- South American camelids such as llamas and alpacas.
Breakfast Included
Along the route, we will stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing towards the starting point of the hike.
Quesiuno Trailhead – 4,326 meters above sea level
Around 08:30 a.m., we arrive at Quesiuno, the starting point of our hike to Rainbow Mountain. The hike takes approximately 3 hours uphill and includes sections with a high degree of difficulty due to the altitude and terrain. A good level of physical condition is recommended.
Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca
Upon reaching the summit, you will have time to admire this incredible natural wonder and take unforgettable photographs. Enjoy panoramic views of the colorful mountain formations and the majestic Andes surrounding Vinicunca.
Return Hike & Lunch
After the visit, we begin the descent for approximately 2–3 hours until reaching the starting point. We then board our transportation and continue to Pitumarca, where we will enjoy a traditional lunch included in the tour.
Return to Cusco
After lunch, we return to Cusco while enjoying the last views of the beautiful Andean landscapes.
Approximate arrival in Cusco: 05:30 p.m.
The tour ends at Cusco Main Square (Plaza de Armas).
