Itinerary
7:00 a.m. – Hotel Pickup
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in downtown Puno and transfer you to the main port on Lake Titicaca.
After check-in, we will board a comfortable tourist boat to begin our adventure.
Uros Floating Islands
Our first stop will be the stunning Uros Floating Islands, constructed entirely from totora reeds, an aquatic plant that grows naturally in the lake.
During the visit, you will learn about the history of this ancient community, their customs, their way of life, and the incredible technique used to build and maintain their floating islands.
You will also have the opportunity to visit their traditional homes, learn about their handicrafts, and, optionally, take a ride on traditional totora reed boats.
Visit time: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Sailing to Taquile Island
We will continue our journey across the tranquil waters of Lake Titicaca until we reach the beautiful Taquile Island, recognized by UNESCO for preserving one of the world’s most important textile traditions.
During the trip, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and the Andes Mountains.
Taquile Island
Upon disembarking, we will begin a moderate hike to the island’s main square.
Our guide will share the history, traditions, and customs of the Taquile community, famous for its handwoven textiles, considered true works of art.
From the natural viewpoints, you can contemplate spectacular views of Lake Titicaca, ideal for taking unforgettable photographs.
Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by the island’s inhabitants, made with fresh, local ingredients.
After lunch, you will have free time to explore the main square, visit the artisan market, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the island.
Return to Puno
In the afternoon, we will board our boat again to begin our return to the port of Puno.
During the voyage, you can relax while enjoying the last views of the lake.
Upon arrival at the port, we will transfer you to your hotel.
