Welcome to Lima! If you’re arriving by cruise ship at the port of Callao, we have the perfect tour for you. Our exclusive city tour is designed especially for travelers like you, who want to discover the best of the Peruvian capital in a single day.
We’ll begin by exploring Lima’s Historic Center, known by the Spanish conquistadors as The City of Kings. We’ll stroll through its plazas, churches, and colonial monuments, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then, we’ll head to modern Lima, with a special stop in the Miraflores district, famous for its spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, its seafront promenade, and its charming green areas.
TOUR PICK UP:
The meeting point will be at the main entrance of the Port of Callao, called APN. Our team will be waiting there with a sign bearing our agency’s name, “Lima Discover,” ready to begin the tour.
Most cruise lines offer buses that transport passengers from the pier to the main port entrance, which takes about 15 minutes.
However, sometimes passengers are taken directly to the Miraflores district. In that case, we can also pick you up there. Just let us know one or two days before the tour, and we’ll make sure everything is arranged for your group. The drive to Miraflores will take approximately 50 minutes.
Tour Start Time:
If the buses that pick you up from the port and take you to the port exit, the tour can start at 9:00 am. However, if they take you to a slightly more distant destination, such as the Miraflores district, the tour can start at 9:30 am. Please note that no tour agency is authorized to enter the port; they must all wait for the passengers to be taken by the buses assigned by the cruise line and the port.

Stop 1: Plaza San Martín
Duration: 20 minutes
We begin at the historic Plaza San Martín, one of Lima’s most impressive public spaces, surrounded by elegant neo-baroque mansions. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, this iconic square offers wonderful photo opportunities and a first glimpse of colonial Lima.

Duration: 45 minutes
Next, we visit the famous San Francisco Church and Convent, home to the impressive catacombs museum. Your guide will explain the history, architecture, and the significance of this site during the colonial era.(bathrooms available)
📍 Stop 3: Handicraft Shop – Alpaca & Souvenirs
Duration: 20 minutes
A quick stop at a local handicraft shop where you can purchase high-quality souvenirs and learn about the different types of alpaca wool and textiles produced in Peru.(bathrooms available)
📍 Stop 4: Historic Center Walking Tour
Duration: 30 minutes
We continue with a guided walk through some of Lima’s most important historic streets. Your guide will share stories about the city’s past, its traditions, and its evolution over the centuries.
📍 Stop 5: ChocoMuseo – Peruvian Chocolate Experience
Duration: 15 minutes
Visit the ChocoMuseo, where you can taste and purchase a wide variety of artisanal Peruvian chocolates and learn about the cacao-making process.
📍 Stop 6: Plaza Mayor (Plaza de Armas)
Duration: 25 minutes

Panoramic Drive
